Identity and asset data: hostname (drives every generated config and all references), model(drives the port inventory, optics, and BOM line item), plus rack, location, serial number, and asset tag for the design document. The device's site membership is shown read-only — it is controlled by which Site Area contains the device on the canvas.
Why
Set hostnames early and follow a scheme (
site-role-nn, e.g. lon-acc-01). Validation flags duplicate and missing hostnames, and every artifact — configs, BOM, cabling schedule, monitoring — keys off them.
